Making Creamy Chicken and Corn Noodles with Your Kids

Recipe - Cooking can be a way to spend time with kids. It is a good way to teach your children how to cook and not only that! Cooking is an easy and fun activity for both kids and parents. 

Besides, it's a great way to discover the new things about your children (even if you think you know them all) and let them know about the things you're interested in. 

During cooking, you can ask children to tell their activities when you are not around. You'll surprised when learn new things about your kids while cooking.

You don't need to be a professional chef or even feel like one in order to share this great experience with your kids. 

Cooking doesn't mean you have to prepare complicated dishes. It can be as easy as making cookies together, baking pizza, cooking pasta or making pancakes...There is no limit for imagination!

For that kind of moment i will share one of my easiest recipe so you and your kids can share moment together.

About Creamy Chicken and Corn Noodles

2-minute noodles get a creamy chicken makeover with this easy dinner that's ready in 15 minutes.

  • 4 x 72g pkts 2-minute noodles chicken flavour
  • 2 tbsp rice bran oil
  • 200g middle bacon, rind removed, chopped
  • 2 cups cooked BBQ chicken (see note)
  • 400g can creamed corn
  • 300ml tub lite cooking cream
  • 1/4 cup flat leaf parsley, finely chopped


Step 1

Cook noodles (reserve flavour sachets) in a saucepan of boiling water for 2 minutes. Drain well.

Step 2

Heat oil in a large, deep frying pan over a high heat. Add bacon and cook for 3 to 4 minutes or until crisp. Add bbq chicken, corn, chicken flavour sachets and cream and cook for 1 minute. Add the noodles and stir to combine.

Step 3

Using tongs, divide the noodle mix between serving bowls and sprinkle with parsley. Serve.

Recipe Notes

We used 1 large barbecued chicken. Pull chicken meat and crispy skin from the bones, discarding bones and fatty skin, and chop meat and crispy skin.
