When you start cooking with your kids it will probably feel different than when you started with your grown-up children. But the fact remains that when you cook with kids it is easier and more rewarding than doing it alone.

About Ham and Egg Wrap

A ham and egg wrap makes a tasty addition to the kids lunchbox and can be made in just 5 minutes.

  • 1/3 cup low-fat mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp wholegrain mustard
  • 5 Coles Brand free range eggs, boiled, peeled, chopped
  • 1 baby cos lettuce, leaves separated
  • 4 mission original wraps
  • 250g sliced leg ham
  • Red grapes, to serve

Step 1

Mix together mayonnaise and mustard. Add eggs and mix to combine.

Step 2

Lay lettuce down centre of each wrap. Top with ham and egg mixture and roll up to enclose. Pack in lunchbox with grapes.

The best way to cook with kids is to start with simple meals. Kids will understand the basics of cooking and they can help with the sauces and things like that. They can help clear up any confusion if there is something they don’t understand.

The trick is figuring out how much food you need to feed them and how often. A lot of kids will want fruit with meals or pasta with vegetables. But it might not be enough to serve four people at once; you might need more or less depending on how hungry they are.
